Forest Landowner Foundation

A non-profit organization

Who We Are

The Forest Landowner Foundation (FLF) is a 501©3 non-profit organization focusing on research, data, and communications that enable those who own and manage their working forests with a holistic approach – financially, environmentally and socially – to fulfill their family’s forest legacy and pass on the tradition to future generations.

What We Do

Our focus is on researching and providing data, messaging, and awareness about core family forests and their owners to ensure strong markets, healthy forests, and generational transfer.

The Foundation strategically address the challenges and opportunities to sustain America’s family-owned forests by supporting the work of the Forest Landowners Association (FLA)

Our Focus

Forest Landowner Foundation Program Areas

FLF programs focus on researching and providing data, messaging, and awareness about core family forests and their owners. Equally as important, we focus resources on the next generation, ensuring natural resources graduates entering the workforce have the skill set and knowledge to perpetuate the legacy of family forest landowners.

Data, Analysis, Research

We understand that forestland is essential to your family’s economic prosperity. Our focus is to grow the marketplace that delivers that prosperity.

We do this by funding research in areas of markets, management and ownership of family forests.

Communications

Committed to promoting the management, stewardship, and sustainability of family forest in America by working with a diverse set of stakeholders to create solutions for markets and conservation.

Our efforts focus on increasing the confidence and trust in today’s management and sustainability of family forests.

Next Generation

Recruiting, educating and employing the next generation of forestry professionals across all aspects of the field: ownership, management, policy, markets, environmental services, and ambassadors.

Resources
